Prepare Your Body
Good nutrition and regular exercise are always an important part of a healthy lifestyle; but these are especially important if you are trying to get pregnant. If you plan to have a baby, you should make sure your body is prepared for it.
When Should Be Released From Pregnancy Prevention?
If you are using a birth control pill, it is best to stop using them after finishing a full box. You can start having menstruation again in two to four weeks or your menstruation will not happen before a few months. Usually, it is recommended to wait for normal menstruation period once before trying to have a baby. Don’t worry, if you get pregnant right after you stop using the pill. This will not damage your baby. This also applies if you become pregnant while taking pills. With some methods of contraception, such as female and male condoms, diaphragm and natural family planning, you can start the pregnancy study as soon as you stop contraception.
Is It Important To Exercise?
Being overweight can seriously reduce your fertility. If you are trying to have a baby, achieving a healthy weight is a good idea for both you and your partner.
Regular exercise along with a healthy diet is one of the best ways to lose weight. Exercising can also increase your libido. So if you don’t exercise regularly, now is the time to start!
Thirty minutes a day, 4-5 times a week will be enough to exercise in moderate difficulty. Just, don’t be fascinated by exercise too much. Excessive intense exercise can also damage your fertility.
Does Weight Affect To Fertility?
You can’t get pregnant by eating but eating a balanced diet and staying a healthy weight can make a big difference. Obese and underweight women take longer to become pregnant. Obese women are more likely to experience disorder in the menstrual cycle, a decrease in fertility level and a higher risk of miscarriage. In men, obesity is associated with abnormal semen values (affecting factors such as sperm mobility, shape and speed of movement) and can negatively affect fertility. If you need to lose weight, start by eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. You will naturally get fewer calories and your food intake will increase in the amount your body needs.
Does Being Stressed Reduce Your Chances Of Getting Pregnant?
Trying to have a baby is an emotional (and sometimes stressful) process but learning how to relax can actually help you increase your chances of getting pregnant. It is important to try to relax, as stress can affect ovulation and lower libido. Meditation, breathing exercises, yoga, sharing your problems with a trusted friend or family member can be helpful for you. Some women experience the desire to have a baby so intensely that they cannot think of anything else. If this is the case for you, take time to have some fun; spend time with your friends, go on vacation or join the course you always want to take.
Sometimes I smoke and Drink Alcohol; Should I Leave These Now Or When I Become Pregnant?
If you are trying to have a baby, it is a good idea to stop smoking and drinking alcohol as soon as possible. Remember that many women are already two weeks pregnant when they take a pregnancy test or notice the symptoms of pregnancy. You should stay as healthy as possible because those first weeks are vital for the development of the embryo.
How Important Is It To Take a Folic Acid Fortification?
As soon as you start to have a baby, it is recommended to take folic acid fortification. Folic acid is very important for the development of a healthy fetus because it can significantly reduce the risk of encountering some neural tube defects such as spina bifida. Women are advised to take 400 micrograms of folic acid supplements daily when trying to get pregnant and they should continue this dose for the first 12 weeks when the baby’s spine develops. You can buy folic acid tablets from pharmacies; your family doctor may also prescribe these tablets to you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
